Terms of Service

Clear, fair terms for working together.

Agreement to Terms

By engaging Breemedia for web development, design, or consulting services, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, that's okay — just let us know before we begin work.

Services & Deliverables

We provide web development, CMS builds, email marketing, accessibility audits, AI search optimization, and related digital services. The specific deliverables, timeline, and scope for your project will be outlined in a written proposal or statement of work before we begin.

If the scope changes during the project — and it often does — we'll discuss the impact on timeline and cost before proceeding. No surprises.

Project Process & Timeline

Our process follows a clear path: Discovery, Strategy, Build, Launch, and Support. Timelines are estimated based on project scope and are provided in your proposal.

We'll meet our deadlines as long as we receive timely feedback, content, and approvals from your end. Delays in client-side deliverables may push the project timeline accordingly.

Payment Terms

Payment terms are outlined in your project proposal. Typically, we require a deposit before work begins, with the balance due upon completion or according to an agreed milestone schedule.

All amounts are in Canadian dollars (CAD) unless otherwise specified. Invoices are due within 15 days of receipt.

Intellectual Property

Once your project is paid in full, you own everything we build for you — the code, the design, the content we create on your behalf. It's yours. No licensing fees, no lock-in, no strings attached.

We may use open-source libraries, frameworks, and tools in the course of development. These retain their original licences. We'll let you know what's being used.

We reserve the right to showcase the completed project in our portfolio and case studies, unless you request otherwise in writing.

Confidentiality

We treat everything you share with us — business plans, credentials, analytics data, customer information — as confidential. We won't share it with third parties without your written consent, except where required by law.

This goes both ways. If we share proprietary processes or tools during the engagement, those remain ours.

Limitation of Liability

We stand behind our work, but we can't guarantee specific business outcomes like traffic increases, revenue growth, or search rankings. We provide expert recommendations and quality implementation — results depend on many factors beyond our control.

Our total liability for any claim related to our services is limited to the amount you paid us for the specific project in question.

Termination

Either party can end the engagement with 14 days' written notice. If you terminate the project, payment is due for all work completed to that point. If we terminate, we'll deliver all completed work and provide a reasonable transition period.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta, Canada, including the Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA). Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Alberta.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version will always be available on this page with the date of the last update.
