Our commitment

Breemedia is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone, and applying the relevant accessibility standards to everything we build — including this website.

Accessibility is not an afterthought for us. It’s a core part of how we work. We believe the web should be usable by everyone, regardless of ability, device, or circumstance.

Standards we follow

This website is designed and developed to conform to WCAG 2.1 Level AA (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines). This means we have implemented:

  • Perceivable content — Text alternatives for non-text content, sufficient colour contrast ratios (minimum 4.5:1 for normal text), content that adapts to different screen sizes without losing information
  • Operable interfaces — Full keyboard navigation, no time-limited interactions, skip navigation links, clear focus indicators on all interactive elements
  • Understandable information — Readable and predictable content, consistent navigation, clear form labels with descriptive error messages
  • Robust markup — Semantic HTML, proper ARIA roles and attributes, compatibility with current and future assistive technologies

Specific measures we’ve taken

  • Skip-to-content link on every page
  • Semantic HTML5 elements throughout (header, main, nav, article, section, footer)
  • ARIA landmarks and labels on all navigation regions
  • Proper heading hierarchy (single h1 per page, logical h2–3 nesting)
  • Visible focus indicators using :focus-visible with clear outline styling
  • Respects prefers-reduced-motion — all animations are disabled when this setting is active
  • Form inputs with visible labels, required field indicators accessible to screen readers, and form validation messages using role="alert"
  • Decorative elements marked with aria-hidden="true"
  • Mobile menu toggle with proper aria-expanded and aria-controls attributes
  • All colour combinations tested for WCAG AA contrast compliance
  • Responsive design ensuring usability across all screen sizes

Testing

We test our website using a combination of automated tools and manual evaluation:

  • axe DevTools browser extension for automated accessibility auditing
  • Manual keyboard navigation testing (Tab, Enter, Escape, Arrow keys)
  • Screen reader testing with VoiceOver (macOS) and NVDA (Windows)
  • Colour contrast verification using WebAIM’s contrast checker
  • Google Lighthouse accessibility audits
  • Manual testing of all interactive components and form workflows

Known limitations

While we strive for full compliance, we acknowledge the following current limitations:

  • Some third-party embedded content (such as external fonts loaded from Google Fonts) may not meet all accessibility guidelines
  • Older browsers and assistive technologies may not fully support all modern accessibility features used on this site

We are actively working to identify and resolve any additional accessibility issues.
